Additional support to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for emerging aid priorities and humanitarian emergency requirements. The funding will provide assistance to: Syria to provide first aid, medical supplies, evacuation of wounded and food aid ($3m); Sudan to secure medical and relief supplies for communities affected by conflict ($5m); and Philippines in conflict affected communities in Central Mindanao on livelihoods and access to basic services to provide medical care for war wounded and critically injured patients. The total value of this initiative is $10.1 million over 1 year, 2010-11.
