Comprehensive Prevention of and Response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Selected Areas in Mindanao

1. To design and conduct capacity building activities on GBV prevention, reporting and monitoring to strengthen the capacity of local government units, civil society organization and community/ people’s organizations working in this field, as well as groups of marginalised or vulnerable women, male, boys, girls, indigenous person and persons with disabilities; 2. Together with partner agencies and organizations, strengthen the implementation of preventive mechanisms on GBV in the target areas and ensure that it is responsive to the gender needs of women, males, boys, girls, indigenous person and persons with disabilities; 3. Strengthen public awareness campaign of gender-based violence among women, males, boys, girls, indigenous population and other vulnerable groups in the target areas through multi-media and behavior change communication materials development; 4. Establish partnership with MinHRAC, government agencies and POs to provide an up-to-date monitoring and reporting system of cases of GBV in the target areas; and, 5. Provide immediate gender and culture responsive medical, psychological and psychosocial interventions to women, males, boys, girls, indigenous population and person with disabilities survivors of GBV.
