Humanitarian Preparedness and Risk Reduction Initiatives in the Philippines

Poor people affected by disasters receive effective emergency relief services which are gender -sensitive and meet their life -saving needs; process leads to capacity -building of local governments and partners on humanitarian response. Poor people in high -risk communities and local authorities in Mindanao have increased capacity to formulate and implement sustainable solutions that increase their resiliency to natural disasters and conflict with women taking leadership roles.
