Classroom Rehabilitation in Metro Manila

The contribution will assist the Philippine Department of Education (DepED) in rehabilitating 150 classrooms damaged by typhoons Ketsana and Parma which brought massive destruction in many parts of the country particularly Metro Manila in late September 2009. The funding will repair school facilities including classrooms, toilets and other school facilities, and replace learning materials and computer equipment. The total value of this initiative is $3.0 million over 1 year, 2009-10.
