Humanitarian Action Plan 2013 Security Support

- To provide support to the ever increasing expansion of UN agency presence in the HAP 2013 designated areas. - To strengthen the ability of UNDSS in providing UN agencies and their participating partners constant updates on the security situation in all operational HAP 2013 locations. - To expand the liaison capabilities of UNDSS with our government counterparts, the PNP, the AFP, NGOs, Embassies and stake holders in the HAP 2013 areas to receive timely information and provide updates on significant events that may have an impact on UN operations. - To enhance the operational proficiencyof UNDSS enabling more comprehensive assessments and reporting to be undertaken which will allow the DO to continue to make informed and timely decisions on safety and security in the expanding operational environment of the Philippines. - Provide constant updates on the security situation in all operational HAP 2013 areas. - Establish and maintain an effective and efficient VHF communications within the operational HAP 2013 areas.
