Protecting Children Affected by Armed Conflict and Emergencies in Mindanao (Withdrawn)

- To prevent and respond to cases of grave child rights violations in situations of armed conflict; - To prevent and address the recruitment and use of children by armed forces and groups, as well as the arbitrary arrest and detention of children; - To raise awareness and respond to the incidences of UXOs and other indiscriminate and illicit weapons; - To assist children and families in situations of profound stress in their return to normalcy through the provision of psychosocial support; - To strengthen the protective environment for children through a community-based systems approach with particular attention to preventing abuse including GBV, exploitation and trafficking; - To facilitate family-tracing and reunification for separated, unaccompanied and orphaned children, and advocate for family-based care and referral to appropriate agencies; - To establish with government effective leadership on child protection sub-cluster area of responsibility with links to other cluster/sector mechanisms on critical inter sectoral issues; - To establish community based child protection systems in affected areas; - To build the capacities of LGUs and communities to provide child protection responses during emergencies;
