Tropical Storm Washi: Empowering Women on Health and Maternal Child Care (EWHMCC)

General Objectives: 1. Empowering Womens’ organization and individuals through Health Education and trainings on maternal child care, nutrition and update traditional-herbal cure. 2. Promote Botical ng Barangay (Community Drug Store) in the community. 3. Capacitate women as health workers, health monitoring and reporting/referral of health cases. Specific Objectives: 1. Capacitate women as health workers and maternal child care. 2. Construct Botika ng Baranagay (BnB). 3. Influence women in the community to take part in the continual advancement of herbal remedies in the absence of commercial drugs. 4. Empower the community through imparted trainings on health alternatives like acupressure and reflexology. 5. Create a support group in the community who will advocate health care and capability trainings. 6. Encourage backyard propagation of herbal medicines as alternative to prescription drugs.
